March: Fads

Hello again,

Is it really our second month already? Even accounting for the fewer days in February, our first whizzed by! So, firstly, a huge thanks to anyone who read our blog last month and a warm welcome to any newcomers. We hope you like what you see.

If last month was about introducing you to the idea of Lagom Hue, and who we are, this month is more based around a particular theme. From now on, every month will be dedicated to a theme – much in the same way a magazine would. But, obviously, it’s not strict – certain posts will go up just because we like them.

Both of us are excited about this month. It’s been in the works for a few months now, but properly began forming when we watched a horizon documentary slamming clean eating in mid-January. Over the next few days, we noticed a massive backlash towards the fad that had dominated hipster cultures for the past year. And we wanted to add our piece to the debate, so we planned to dedicate March to:

Fads. From clean eating to slimming world – and everything in between! We’ll be discussing what has worked for us, and those around us, as well as what hasn’t, and we’ll take a look at why fads can be dangerous. That horizon programme will get a mention too…

There will be some features you recognise from last month (I’m biased, yes, but I’m particularly proud of the Keep Moving entry coming towards the end of the month), and there will be some new articles to stick your teeth in. At this stage of the blog, we are very much experimenting with what works and what doesn’t.

As usual, we are looking for some great interaction with our lovely readers. If you haven’t already, you can like and follow us on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. Feel free to comment on any of the articles, we welcome both positive and negative feedback – anything which can help enlighten us for where to go with this!

Thanks once again for your reaction to this last month,

Gareth and Emma
