So, this week I was fairly busy meaning food was probably near the bottom of my agenda. Then, I accidentally sliced my finger whilst chopping some apples meaning cooking had to go out the window for a little bit.
Thankfully, my finger is healing and although I’m still busy I get today to have a bit of down time. Which means baking (watch this space), drinking tea, going for a walk and probably doing some reading. Today is going to be a good day.
This milkshake is ridiculously easy to make (even with a crippled finger) and has been feeding me for breakfast for the last few days. I never thought about putting on the blog until now as it’s just one of those recipes I make without even thinking about it. It’s something I make when I can’t be bothered with chopping or faffing with different ingredients.
However, the simplicity of it doesn’t mean it skimps on flavour. I mean seriously eat your banana chocolatey hearts out.
1 chopped frozen banana
1 heaped tbsp nut butter (peanut, almond – whatever floats your boat)
1 tbsp cacao/cocoa powder
2 tsp pea protein powder (optional)
150ml plant milk
Simply place all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Serve in a glass or bowl and enjoy!
